Rainier Counseling's State Certified Substance Abuse Evaluations:
These evaluations are often required by employers, family members, or
Municipal, District, and/or Superior Courts.
Our Substance Abuse Evaluations typically require the completion of an
Intake-Diagnostic Assessment, the completion of several alcohol/drug
screening inventories and a clinical interview. The evaluation process
consists of about 2 hours and the client can sign a release of information
for the written findings to be sent directly to the employer or a Court.
Our evaluations include an assessment of levels of care as defined by the
American Society of Addiction Medicine's patient placement criteria, a
diagnostic impression according to the recommended format of the Diagnostic
and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) fourth edition, and a
clinical recommendation.
NOTE: The Department of Transportation Substance Evaluations are also available at
Rainier Counseling for DOT employees who have engaged in prohibited conduct
in regard to drug and alcohol testing.
